Marvin Windows began in 1912 in Warroad, Minnesota, as the Marvin Lumber & Cedar Company, founded by George Marvin. The company shifted from lumber to manufacturing windows and doors after George's son, Bill Marvin, invested in woodworking equipment to provide jobs for returning World War II veterans. Today, it remains a family-owned and operated business with a history of innovation, such as being the first major manufacturer to offer ENERGY STAR qualified performance on all standard windows and doors.
